Netra Basti Series
Ayurvedic Eye Renewal Therapy – Five Session Protocol
This four-session series offers a deeper therapeutic approach to supporting the health and vitality of the eyes through the traditional Ayurvedic practice of Netra Basti.
Netra Basti is a deeply nourishing and restorative treatment designed to soothe, hydrate, and revitalize the delicate structures of the eyes while relieving tension and pressure caused by strain, fatigue, and modern visual demands.
Each session begins with the creation of a soft herbal dough ring placed around the eyes, forming a gentle reservoir. This space is then filled with warm medicated ghee or castor oil, chosen according to your individual needs. As the eyes rest in the oil, you will be guided through subtle eye movements that allow the tissues to absorb nourishment while encouraging circulation and release of accumulated strain.
This series can be especially supportive for those experiencing:
-
Dry, irritated, or tired eyes
-
Chronic eye strain
-
Excessive screen exposure
-
Pressure or tension around the eyes
-
Early vision fatigue
In Ayurvedic tradition, Netra Basti is also used as supportive care for conditions such as glaucoma, myopia, cataracts, and nerve irritation, while serving as a preventative therapy that helps maintain long-term eye health.
Over the course of a series, the tissues of the eyes and surrounding structures have the opportunity to progressively soften, cleanse, and restore balance. Some natural debris may release from the eyes during treatment as the tissues begin to clear and refresh.
Many clients notice that their eyes appear brighter, clearer, and more relaxed, with a softening of the surrounding tissues and a reduction in visual fatigue.
A series of four treatments performed in close succession allows the benefits of Netra Basti to build over time, offering deeper restoration and longer-lasting support for the eyes.
