Scar Tissue & Adhesion Therapy

This treatment focuses specifically on areas of known trauma where scar tissue or adhesions may have formed, creating restriction, discomfort, or persistent pain.

Rather than aggressively breaking scar tissue down, this work takes a gentler approach, helping the tissues soften and “melt” through the use of specialized techniques, including Joya’s signature mineral salt rub and other softening methods. These techniques encourage circulation, support lymphatic flow, and help restore oxygen and blood supply to areas that may have become restricted over time.

Many clients notice visible and structural changes in the tissue itself. Even scars that are many years old may begin to soften, lighten in appearance, and regain mobility as the surrounding tissue becomes more supple.

This treatment can be especially supportive for:

• Post-surgical scar tissue

• Old injuries or accident trauma

• Adhesions and restricted tissue mobility

• Persistent or unexplained pain patterns

• Areas of numbness or altered sensation

Clients are often surprised by how quickly the tissues can respond. As circulation and movement return, areas that once felt tight, painful, or numb may begin to regain sensation and comfort.
